SKATING RINK OF “KAZAKHSTAN” SPORTS PALACE

The biggest sports units of the capital are the key elements of the Olympic Axis built for the hosting of high-leveled competitions of the VII Asian Games. The Kazakhstan Sports Palace and Skating Stadium are the grandest projects of the author group designed to be the main sport venues of the Games.

The skating rink of Kazakhstan Sports Palace was built in 2010; its total area is 9280 м2.

Together with strategically important sport units the sport grounds for training of the participants are also the matters of great importance. According to existing standards the training skating rink is highly necessary for the training of hockey teams participating in hockey tournament. The Skating Rink of Kazakhstan SportsPalace was built for this purpose. It was developed with consideration to meet all necessary requirements of the Olympic committee as sportsmen set up strict criteria to the quality of ice.

The complex comprises the hockey borders, the plastic transparent fencing and all corresponding infrastructure facilities. Thousand spectators can watch the ice game at the same time. All technical information for sport funs is shown at numeric display. The complex alsohas gym facilities and dance grounds including eight changing rooms, shower rooms, two cafe halls. The roof built with consideration of weather conditions of the region is one of the unique peculiarities of the skating rink. It facilitates the maintenance issues - due to its unique shape it does not accumulate the snow.

No matter that the ground for the future skating rink was poled in early 2010 in November the unit was already launched. The high technologies minimizing time expenditure enabled to get a high quality construction.
